Hi, my name is Owen, and I'm 23. I've recently set up a talent competition in Nottingham / Nottinghamshire which is called Nottinghamshire's Got Talent to be able to give young people an opportunity to perform and to help nurture and develop their talents. 

Born in Nottingham I have got a disability called branchio oto renal syndrome which affects my ears, lungs, and kidneys I am nil by mouth and I am also fed by a peg due to my health and kidneys however, I have been so lucky enough to see such a variety of groups, especially seeing the community coming together to spread some awareness and also to see such amazing people supporting each other. I absolutely love working with young people and being disabled myself, I can really connect with how difficult their lives can sometimes be. I really want to inspire them to become the best they can be and to help them believe in themselves and to be proud of who they really are. 

I am also part of the Nottingham Playhouse Youth Board where we are youth-led with a focus on open, accessible, and inclusive projects that champion youth voice'
